Hi! I am so happy to see you here! My name is Hemal Paliwal and I am the founder and artist behind Studio Vana.

The name 'Vana' comes from the Sanskrit word for jungle.

Growing up in the vast and vivid cultural landscape of India and having studied Architecture, my interest in details and structure combined with a deep love for vintage Indian paintings shaped my art. Spending a decade in Africa then gave me the opportunity to refine it.

I've finally chosen this life where I get to do what I love every single day and also call it work. When I'm not painting, you'll likely find me tackling a decor project, playing mahjong or taking a walk by a little lake near our home to find instant peace and inspiration.

I love spending time at home with my husband who's my biggest supporter and my two almost grown up boys who make me laugh a lot.
